| The company's i-shot service, which allows users to transmit still images taken with compatible mobile phones having built-in digital cameras, was launched on June 1, 2002, and has quickly became popular among users. The number of i-shot service subscribers reached 1 million in approximately two months, and currently stands at 2 million. Featuring a 1.9 inch, 65,536-color TFT LCD, the mova N251i is only 20 mm thick (folded) and weighs a mere 98g, making it the thinnest, lightest model in the i-shot handset series. The handset's 110,000-pixel CMOS camera is capable of shooting quality pictures even in dimly-lit places. Up to 200 photos can be stored in memory. Close-up shots of such items as maps, taken with the camera's macro function, can be turned into icons and pasted on the phone screen for easy access at a later time. The camera also features three standard background frames, while a variety of backgrounds are available for downloading from dedicated i-mode sites, enabling creative photos to be taken. The phone employs text input software and a word prediction function for fast text entry.The N251i will be available at all DoCoMo sales channels. The price for the mobile phone is open (not fixed), while a standard accessory kit, which includes a battery pack, an AC adapter and a desktop holder, costs 6,200 yen.
