TOKYO, JAPAN, June 3, 2002 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. announced today that the company will begin selling its " P504i" phone on June 5, 2002.The 504i series is the first group of PDC-based handsets compatible with enhanced  , offering packet data transmission speeds of up to 28.8 Kbps, three times faster than the original PDC-based i-mode. They also support Java Archive (JAR) applications of up to 30 Kb and associated data of up to 100 Kb per application for rich i  ppliTM content.The P504i is equipped with a 2.1-inch (approx.), 65,536-color TFT LCD and incorporates a "one-push open" button. It also handles 32-chord ringing tones and chat mail. A mere 16.8 mm thick when folded, the handset is the thinnest in the 504i series. The P504i will be sold through all DoCoMo sales channels. Retail pricing will be open (unfixed). The model's standard accessory kit, including battery pack, AC adaptor and desktop holder, will cost 7,300 yen. |
