NTT DoCoMo to Open Digital Library

TOKYO, JAPAN, July 12, 2002 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. announced today that on July 15, 2002, in commemoration of the company's tenth anniversary of operation, it will unveil the DoCoMo Digital Library on its website.

The library, which the company is opening as one of its philanthropic activities, will contain collections of digital materials organized according to the following two themes:

(1) the development and spread of mobile communications technology;

(2) the preservation of Japanese culture.

The library will also have a special 'Digital Reading Room for Children'. Materials on the above themes, colorfully and playfully customized, will be easily accessible for children.

DoCoMo aims to realize the dual objectives of promoting the further development and spread of mobile communications technology and improving human welfare by providing a variety of digital content.
