TOKYO, JAPAN July 12, 2001 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. will begin marketing a new mobile phone that is compatible with its i-mode service. The new phone, dubbed "Digital mova KO210i HYPER," will be sold domestically in the Kanto Ko-shin-Etsu region starting on July 17, 2001.

1.Compatible with NTT DoCoMo's i-mode service. Users can send and receive e-mail, and enjoy various online services, such as i-anime and i-melody. (Customers must subscribe to each service separately.) 2.Liquid crystal display (LCD) with 256 colors 3.Lost & Found Mode: Allows owner to render phone inoperable in case it is lost and recovered by an unknown individual. To activate the function, the owner need only dial his or her number a certain number of times in succession from the same phone and between a certain period of time. This will automatically lock the phone and prevent it from being used. 4.Various Protection Functions: Prevents unauthorized users from viewing a wide variety of private data stored in the phone, including e-mail and telephone directory. Works with a registered PIN. 5.Harmonized ringing 16-chord melodies and Hyper Talk 6.9600 bps packet data transmission service, dubbed "Dopa" (Subscription to this service is mandatory.)
