TOKYO, JAPAN, December 25, 2001---The number of subscribers to NTT DoCoMo's service reached 30 million nationwide today, a little less than three years (1,038 days) after the service was launched on February 22, 1999. In addition, the number of subscribers using the 503i handset equipped for i ppliTM (JavaTM-enabled i-mode services) reached 10 million on December 21, 2001 nationwide, slightly less than one year (330 days) after the service was launched on January 26, 2001. |
