TOKYO, JAPAN, May 25, 1999 - NTT Mobile Communications Network, Inc. (the "Company") today announced that it will propose a change to its corporate name at the 8th general meeting of shareholders of the Company to be held on June 25, 1999. In addition, the Company's
eight regional subsidiaries, each of which conducts mobile communications in a region of Japan, are scheduled to change their respective corporate names accordingly. |

| 2. | Effective date of the proposed change: The proposed change is currently scheduled for March 2000. |
| 3. | Reasons for the proposed change: Since the incorporation of the Company, its corporate brand "NTT DoCoMo" has been widely used in the market and has gained high recognition from customers. In addition, since the listing of the Company's shares last year, "NTT DoCoMo" has come to be recognized as the Company's name by many of the Company's domestic and international investors. The Company has also sought for a new to expand and develop its businesses based upon mobile networks in line with development of mobile multimedia. Thus, the Company has decided to change its corporate name to incorporate "NTT DoCoMo". |

(the "Company") today announced that the DoCoMo group is planning to increase the share capital of each of the Company's eight regional subsidiaries for the purpose of continuing to strengthen the group's financial base to achieve a stronger business foundation in the future, including enhancement of the group's competitiveness by expanding the group's core businesses, such as cellular phone and PHS, introduction of the next generation cellular telecommunications system in connection with International Mobile Telecommunications-2000, and development of mobile multimedia.
