| TOKYO, JAPAN, December 2, 1999--NTT Mobile Communications Network, Inc. (NTT DoCoMo) has reached an agreement and signed the Share Purchase Agreement with Hutchison Whampoa Company Limited on the equity participation of 19% ($410 million) in Hutchison Telephone Company Limited ("HTCL"), a Hong Kong company that operates cellular telephone business in Hong Kong under the Hutchison Whampoa Group, also a Hong Kong company. *$410 million = approx.  43.1 billion (US$1=approx. 105)
