Purpose of the company
| 1) | To dispatch executives to the management councils of Tele Sudeste Celular, invested in by NTT DoCoMo, and its cellular phone subsidiaries. |
| 2) | To promote a third-generation mobile communications standard in Brazil |
| Note: | NTT DoCoMo reached a basic agreement in September 1998 to establish an international consortium with de S.A. (a Spanish telecommunications operator), IBERDROLA S.A. (a Spanish electric power company), and ITOCHU Corporation (a Japanese trading company), and to acquire seven percent of Tele Sudeste Celular stocks (51.8%) to be held by the consortium. |
