The tests will be conducted as part of ITU Malaysia' standardization activities for IMT-2000. The tests will be conducted in the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) area in the suburbs of Kuala Lumpur and contribute to Malaysia's MSC program.

Through the system tests, NTT DoCoMo will actively contribute to the international standardization activities for radio transmission technologies for IMT-2000, a third generation mobile communications system, which is currently promoted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and other related organizations.
