| NTT Mobile Communications Network, Inc. (NTT DoCoMo) will participate in CommunicAsia 98 to be held in Singapore as an exhibitor and demonstrate its most up-to-date mobile communications systems. CommunicAsia 98 is one of the largest telecommunications exhibitions held in Asia. NTT DoCoMo will demonstrate Wideband CDMA (W-CDMA), a major candidate for a radio interface for IMT-2000, a third-generation mobile communications system the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and other related organizations are promoting for global standardization, as well as high-quality video transmission systems. NTT DoCoMo will also show how energetically the company is co-operating to global standardization efforts for a third-generation mobile communications system in an open manner by inviting domestic and international operators, manufactures and other organizations to participate in system tests. NTT DoCoMo will also introduce leading-edge mobile communications technologies, such as a variety of mobile computing applications and mobile phones with infrared interfaces and data communications modems.
