W-CDMA

Wideband Code Division Multiple Access, a 3G communication system used in Europe and Asia. NTT DOCOMO offers its FOMA-brand 3G mobile service based on this system in Japan. It uses the 2GHz frequency and provides packet transmission speeds of up to 384 kbps.
