Osaifu-Keitai
Mobile phone handsets that incorporate Sony's FeliCa® contactless IC card technology. NTT DOCOMO started to sell compatible handsets in June 2004. 'Osaifu' means 'wallet' and 'keitai' stands for 'mobile phone' in Japanese. It has a wide variety of uses beyond electronic money, including serving as train and airplane tickets, membership cards, and house entry keys. There are over 10 million subscribers who have compatible handsets as of January 2006.
