Osaifu-Keitai

Mobile phones incorporating Sony's FeliCa® contactless IC card technology. Osaifu means “wallet” and keitai means “mobile phone.” In addition to electronic money, these phones serve as train and airplane tickets, membership cards and entry keys. Launched by DOCOMO in 2004, more than 36 million Osaifu-Keitai phones were in use as of December 2009.
