mobile broadband

A movement to extend the broadband communication provided by wired networks such as by ADSL or FTTH to wireless networks, or the technology that support this movement.

The elemental technologies assumed for mobile broadband include 3G and later digital mobile phone technologies, Wi-Fi, and WiMAX.
