Mobile Oriented Applications Platform. The software platform for NTT DOCOMO's FOMA service. To combat the rising cost of software development due to advanced mobile phone functions, NTT DOCOMO provides the basic functions as components so that developers can concentrate on the development of new functions and independent applications, as well as lower their handset-development costs.
