MIMO

Multiple-Input Multiple-Output. The use of multiple antennas for sending and receiving data. Dividing the data up for transmission from multiple antennas using a single frequency increases the effective data transmission speed without changing the frequency used. NTT DOCOMO has achieved a 1Gbit/s real-time packet transfer speed in 4G communication technology experiments using this technology and “VSF-Spread OFDM.”
