IMAP

Internet Mail Access Protocol. A protocol that is used for e-mail. Version 4 (IMAP4) is generally used. The mail remains on the server after being read by client software, and can be managed on the mail server. It is intended for use with multiple computers and when mobile tools are used with computers.
