NTT DOCOMO at CEATEC JAPAN 2010

Everyone is interested in the future, but most people have a difficult time imaging it. This is why so many will find the upcoming CEATEC JAPAN 2010 show such a fascinating experience. At this cutting-edge IT and electronics show, you will be able to see and experience for yourself many exciting new services, technologies and research activities of NTT DOCOMO, the world’s leading innovator in mobile communication. A broad array of fabulous and futuristic ideas and products will be on display, demonstrated under NTT DOCOMO’s new corporate vision for the next 10 years, known as “Pursuing Smart Innovation: HEART.” The show will take place from October 5 to 9 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

Highlights of DOCOMO Exhibits at CEATEC

“Xi™” brand for LTE next-generation mobile service

• See a demonstration of high-speed downloading of a large file using the LTE mobile service which will be launched in the Japanese market in December 2010.
• Features from the future of mobile phone use as envisioned by DOCOMO through Xi.

3D technology

• New 3D technologies with mobile phones will be introduced. These include haptic feedback technology that enables us to experience 3D images so real that we can almost touch, and DOCOMO original transformational technology which allows us to see 3D images on a 2D display.

Wireless charging battery handset

• Experience wireless battery handsets that can charge devices anywhere in the world when you put them onto a panel with a logo of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) “Qi”, regardless of their position. These will be the world’s first handsets corresponding to WPC, which is becoming the world standard.

In addition to these exhibits, there will be a fascinating variety of other DOCOMO exhibits at the event.
